24 students of the Fashion design department (batch 2021-2023) & (batch 2022-23) along with faculty visited Ra-International which exports apparels to Europe, on 17 August 2023.

21 students of the Fashion design department (batch 2021-2023) visited the garment exhibition INVOGUE (fashion & lifestyle) at Shakespeare Sarani on 11th August 2023. Students viewed the displays of designers which showcased various in-trend garments, jewellery, bags & accessories. It gave the students the idea of prevailing trends, colour, pattern & prints.

A very-first-time Styling and Photoshoot workshop conducted by Nikon mentor was held in at the Bhawanipur Design Academy with the final year students of Fashion Design Department. Twenty seven students of Fashion Design participated at the workshop held on 20 July 2023 at the Institute premises.

A visit to the Old Nizam Palace was conducted on 20 July 2023.  Nineteen students were present from both Interior Design 2 year sem 4 (2021-23) and Interior Design 1 year sem 2 (20222-23) batches. The students experienced the restoration process and understood the Architectural style of the British Colonial Era.

A session on Vaastu was conducted by Navin Chitlangia, a renowned vaastu consultant, on 15th July 2023. Twenty one students participated from both Interior Design 2 year sem 4 (2021-23) and Interior Design 1 year sem 2 (2022-23) batches respectively.

The Heritage Awareness Programme was sponsored by the banglanatok dot com in association with UNESCO at The Bhawanipur Design Academy premises on the 23rd of June 2023. The students of both the Fashion and Interior departments participated enthusiastically in the programme.

This is summer like previous years, the final year Fashion Design students attended a summer internship at Weavers Service Centre, Kolkata. The centre, under the Government of India, promotes and facilitates Indian handloom industry.
