Presented are some of the work done by students in the course of projects undertaken through online classes during the lockdown period. First are a series of facemasks designed by Fashion Design Advanced students under the guidance of Rajkiran Dass. These masks use material available at home. The BDA organised an excursion for students of all batches of Interior and Fashion Design. 39 students, accompanied by 4 faculty members, visited Bhubaneswar and Vishakhapatnam from 13th to 19th March 2020.In Bhubaneswar, the students saw and studied the architecture of the Konark Temple, Raja Rani Temple and Lingraj Temple. The Bhawanipur Design Academy will be closed from 17th May to 7th June, both days inclusive, for Summer Vacation. No classes will be held during this period.

Students of Interior Design One Year and Two Years participated at the exhibition organised by ABID (Architects, Builders, Interior Designers) held at Science City from 18 to 21 January 2020. They designed two models under two categories – Residential and Commercial. There were several entries under these categories from various Interior Design institutes from Kolkata.

Interior Design One and Two year students were were taken to Vyom  at New Alipore to experience what an on-going site looks like and see the on-site proceedings on 11 January 2020. Fashion and Interior Design Fundamental students were taken for a visit to the Indian Museum on 15 January 2020. thirty-nine students accompanied by two faculty members visited the various sections of the Museum. The Convocation of The Bhawanipur Design Academy was held in 10th January 2020 for the Fashion & Interior Design students of the batch 2017-2019 and 2018-2019. The annual Graduation Fashion Show for Fashion Design Two years (Batch 2017 – 19) and Fashion Design One year (Batch 2018-19) was held on 26th December 2019. A total of 28 students from both batches participated in the Show. The show consisted of 10 sequences, including that of the Paper Dress made by Fashion Design

BDA students participated at various events at SPARDHA 2019 at Shyama Prasad College on 26.11.2019 & 27.11.2019 . The team from BDA won the first position at the Fashion Show the theme for which was Festivals.
