  • Visit to Exhibition
    40 students and 2 faculty members from Fd 2Yr sem 2 (2024-26) and ID 2 yr sem 2 (2024-26) , attended the visit to the exhibition on the 5th August ’25. The exhibition was held at the Emami Art Gallery, Eastern Metropolitian Bypass, Anandapur, Kolkata. The students witnessed an exceptional exhibition of master artists Sri Partha Pratim Deb and Srimati Arunima Choudhary.   • Session on Vaastu
    The session on Vaastu was conducted by Dr. Surendra Kapoor, who is a renowned vaastu consultant, on 23rd July ’25. Total number of  24 students were present from both Interior Design 2 year sem 4 (2023-25) and Interior Design 1 year sem 2 (20224-25) batches respectively. The vaastu guidelines for various projects were explained during the presentation.
  • Workshop on Styling
    A Workshop on Styling was organised for the senior fashion design students (batch 2023-2025) & (batch2024-2025) at the BDA campus, on 01 July 2025. The primary objective was to enhance student’s understanding of visual storytelling, fashion aesthetics, and to experience a professional shooting floor in relation to styling.
  • Presentation on Soft Furnishings
    A Presentation on Soft Furnishings by SKIPPER was organized for the senior Interior Design students (batch 2023 – 2025) & (batch 2024- 2025) on 25 June 2025.   • Ebco Design Centre Visit
    A visit to the Ebco Design Centre was organized and arranged for the senior interior design students (batch 2023 – 2025) & (batch 2024 – 2025) respectively, on 18 June 2025. The students were shown the kitchen mock-up of different types and detailed knowledge on various hardware was given.
  • Presentation on Entrepreneurship Development and Plywood Manufacturing process by ToshGold
    The Interior Design students (batch 2023 – 2025), (batch 2024 – 2025) & (batch 2024 – 2026) attended the Presentation on Entrepreneurship development and plywood manufacturing process by ToshGold at the BDA campus on 16 June 2025.   • Textile Training Program at Weavers Service Centre, Kolkata
    The senior Fashion Design students (batch 2023-2025) & (batch2024-2025) attended a month-long training at this centre during summer vacation from 13.05.2025 to 11.06.2025. Students of the above mentioned batches were sent for training in Handloom weaving, Dyeing, Printing and Fibre Testing.   • Visit to Somany Tiles Display Centre
    The visit to Somany Tiles Display Centre was organised on the 2nd May ’25. 28 students and 1 Faculty members from ID 2Yr (2023-25) sem IV & ID 1Yr (2024-25) sem II participated in the visit.   • Visit to Hafele Design Centre
    A visit to the Hafele design centre was conducted by Ms. Chandrani Das (Senior Manager Design Centre) and her team on 2nd May ’25 for the Interior design students batches 2023-25 & 2024-25. An elaborate description about kitchen and work triangle was given.   • Make Up & Styling Workshop
    Make-up and grooming master class by Mac (a cosmetic brand) was conducted on 26th April ’25, for the fashion design department, to enhance their understanding of personal and styling. 16 students and faculty members from Fashion Design 2yr Sem IV (2023-25) and Fashion Design 1yr Sem II (2024-25) attended the workshop.
  • Presentation on Solid Surface (Corian) Brand Dupont
    The presentation on Solid Surface (Corian) Brand Dupont was organised on the 23rd April ’25 at The Bhawanipur Design Academy.  29 students and faculty members from Interior Design 2yr Sem IV (2023-25) and Interior Design 1yr Sem II (2024-25) attended the presentation.   • Visit to DRS Interior Solution Design Studio
    A visit to DRS Interior Solution Design Studio was organised on the 17th April ’25 for ID 2Yr (2023-25) sem IV & ID 1Yr (2024-25) sem II students. The DRS solution deals with PARE innovative surfaces and ARGIL SPC floorings. The design studio displayed the various related products, which helped the students to understand the product specifications, application and pricing in depth.
  • Visit to Evara
    A visit to Evara was organised on the 11th April ’25 for ID 2Yr (2023-25) sem IV & ID 1Yr (2024-25) sem II students. Evara is a showroom for decorative plywood, laminates and veneer. The students had the opportunity to see and understand about the latest interior finishing products, its application and pricing.
  • Visit to Hettich Experience Centre
    A visit to the Hettich Experience Centre was conducted by Ms. Suchismita Paul (Manager Design Centre) and her team on 11th April ’25 for the Interior design students batches 2023-25 & 2024-25.  The students were shown the mock-up kitchen of different types. Hardware like hydraulic push locks, sliding ball bearing channels, tall units and others was also shown and explained.   • Visit to Jiwanram Sheoduttrai Industries Pvt. Ltd
    On 24th March ’25, Fashion Design 2 yr (2023-25) sem 4 & 1 yr (2024-25) sem 2 batch students were taken to Jiwanram Sheoduttrai Industries Pvt Ltd , with the objective to understand the functioning of an export house.

    The Bengali Joy Filmfare Awards 2025 turned out to be a golden opportunity for aspiring fashion designers, especially the students from Bhawanipur Design Academy (BDA).   • Site visit to old building Adi-Brahmo Samaj
    On 18th February 2025, Students of ID (2024-25) sem 1 along with a faculty visited ‘Old Building, Adi-Brahmo Samaj’ for better understanding of the building restoration and construction methodology.
  • Visit to Exhibition

  • Site Visit for Survey & Measurement for Office Design Project
    15 students of the Interior design department (batch 2023-2025) sem 3 along with 1 faculty member visited DN18, Sector 5, College More, 10th floor office space of Release My Ad (next to Rang De Basanti Dhaba) on 31st January 2025.   • Beauty Pageant Nakhshatra (TOI) 2025 – Celerity Interaction with Students
    The students got to interact and understand the various nuances of design from the famous fashion designer Deepak Golani & choreographer and show director Utsav Dholakia and a lot of about personal styling from Puja Banerjee (Actress), when the celebrities had visited The Bhawanipur Design Academy on the 29th of January ’25.
  • Lions Gurukul Award
    The Bhawanipur Design Academy won the award for the Best Fashion Design Institute at the Gurukul Award 12th Edition, organised by the Lions Club of Kolkata, Mother Teresa Sarani, on 24 January 2025.
  • Convocation 2024
    The Convocation ’24 ceremony for the students of Fashion and Interior design batches, who have successfully completed the respective courses, was held at The BDA campus on the 25th January 2025.
