  • Industry Visit to Bengal Dyeing, Batik Palace, Printing unit of Arunava Bose and Sushil Das
    BDA organised an Industry Visit to Bengal Dyeing, Batik Palace, Printing unit of Arunava Bose and Sushil Das on 08 September 2022.     A visit to the Hafele design Centre was conducted by Ms. Chandrani Das (Senior Manager, Design Centre) and her team for the ID students on 29 August 2022.   • Orientation for session 2022-23, and Commencement of new batch.
    An Orientation programme for the new batch 2022-2023/24 was conducted on 22 August 2022. The programme began with Mrs Bhatt’s welcome address to the new batch, with her encouraging words.   • Presentation on Solid Surfaces (Corian) Brand Dupont

  • Independence Day 2022
    BDA students celebrated Independence Day on 15 August 2022. The students’ performance was based on dances from different states of India. Props like cloth of tricolour and wheel (charkha) were used in the performance. Students dressed according to the particular state’s dance performed by them. The performance was appreciated by all.
  • Workshop on Fashion Forecasting & Colour Psychology
    Mr. Sandeep Sarkar, a NIFT passout (Fashion Designer), currently teaching in GD Birla as well as a guest faculty at NIFT, conducted a workshop 0n Fashion Forecasting and Colour Psychology on 6 August 2022 for Fashion Design students, which was very interesting and informative.   • Session on Vaastu
    Dr. Surendra Kapoor, a renowned vaastu consultant conducted a session on Vaastu on 5 August 2022 for Interior Design students. He explained special guidelines to be followed while designing residences, general offices, retail stores and restaurants. The topic was discussed in great depth. During the interactive session students’ doubts and queries were answered.
  • Alumni Meet 2022
    The Bhawanipur Design Academy had its 2nd successful Alumni Meet (Rewind 2) in the presence of 72 Alumni (40 Interior Design & 32 Fashion Design). The show started with lighting of the lamp by Dr. Somsankar Ray, Mr. Sumit Bose, Faculty Members and all the alumni present for that occasion.   • Presentation by GLEN Kitchen Appliances
    The CEO of Eastern Agencies (GLEN) gave a presentation to the students on 22.07.2022. The presentation was held in the institute premises to enrich the students’ knowledge about kitchen appliances like chimneys and gas hobs.   • Winners at ABID 2022
    The ABID Interiors 2022 had organised a Mega Fair at Science City Exhibition Ground from 12th – 16th May 2022.   • Visit to the NITCO Studio by the Interior Design Dept
    The visit for Interior Design Students to NITCO Studio (design center) was conducted on 25-2-2022. Total number of  students that participated in the visit was 9 of Interior Design 2 Year Sem 3 and Interior Design 1 Year Sem 1 batches respectively. They were accompanied by the subject faculty.
  • Site visit to Southwinds construction site by Interior Design Dept
    The site visit for Interior Design Students to Southwinds construction site was conducted on 3-3-2022. Total number of  students that participated in the visit was 9 of Interior Design 2 Year Sem 3 and Interior Design 1 Year Sem 1 batches respectively. They were accompanied by the subject faculty.
  • Factory visit to Greenply By Interior Design Dept
    The factory visit for Interior Design Students to Greenply was conducted on 3-3-2022. Total number of  students that participated in the visit was 9 of Interior Design 2 Year Sem 3 and Interior Design 1 Year Sem 1 batches respectively. They were accompanied by the subject faculty.
  • Fashion Design Students visit Rajlakshmi Mills

  • ID – Seminar on Soft Furnishings
    A Seminar on Soft Furnishing was conducted by Mr. Vikash Kariwal, the marketing head of Stellar Furnishing. He explained to the students about soft furnishing and its incorporation in Interior Design. Samples were also shown to the students for better understanding. A total of 17 students and 4 faculty members attended the seminar.
  • Interior Design – Site Visit
    Nineteen students from Interior Design Two and One year batches were taken for a residential site visit which was on the verge of completion, accompanied by one faculty member, on 19 November 2021.
