Students of Interior Design One Year and Two Years participated at the exhibition organised by ABID (Architects, Builders, Interior Designers) held at Science City from 18 to 21 January 2020. They designed two models under two categories – Residential and Commercial. There were several entries under these categories from various Interior Design institutes from Kolkata. (GIFT, GFI, GIID, INIFD, J.D Birla Dreamzone, Perfect Institute etc)
The BDA students won the first position in the residential category and second position in the commercial category. The models prepared by students were appreciated by the jury at the time of Presentation.
Fifteen students attended a workshop on Model construction at the Workshop organised for students by ABID.
All Interior Design One and Two year students were taken to visit the exhibition organised by ABID (Architects, Builders, Interior Designers) at Science City. The students visited pavilions of various products related to interiors and exteriors such as laminates, veneers, marbles, acoustics and sound proofing, plywood, electrical, furniture and furnishings etc.
Our Faculty of Interior Design, Mrs Nafisa Rahman Begg and two of our students, Sumedha Bhattacharyya (One Year ID) and Neha Gupta (Two Year ID) were presented with awards for their excellent performance over the year 2019.
