Mr. P. N Ghosh from the Textile Committee held seven special classes on Fabric Science and Fibre Identification for Fashion Design Two and One year students on 11.05.2019. The students were acquainted with practical and theoretical knowledge on various types of Fabrics.

Fashion Design One Year and Advanced students attended a Seminar on Fashion Forecasting 2020 at the Hotel Oberoi Grand on 08.04.2019. WGSN organises these Seminars in various cities to introduce International trends for the coming year.

The students of Interior Design, both one and two years were taken for a field visit to the Hettich Application Centre at Topsia, on 10.04.2019. They were accompanied by two faculty members. The students gathered information about various Hardware used in Interior Design such as in kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, offices and commercial places etc.

Seventy five students from Fashion Design and Interior Design department attended a three day Seminar on Marketing conducted by Prof. Dilip Shah, Dean of Student Affairs, The Bhawanipur College, on 24, 25 and 29 April 2019. Prof. Dilip Shah, in the course of his session, also spoke about different aspects of entrepreneurship.

A Seminar cum Workshop, conducted by Mr. Sandeep Sarkar, Faculty NIFT was held on 11.04.2019 to introduce the students of Fashion Design One year and Advance to what is Fashion Forecasting and how to predict the trends for the future seasons. He also spoke about Brands and their Logos and design of Logos.
