Students of Fashion Design One Year accompanied by two Faculty members visited Jaya Shree Textiles at Rishra. They were informed about the technique of making yarn out of flax. They also saw the process of screen printing on linen fabric.

Students of One and Two years of Fashion and Interior Design attended a three day Seminar on Marketing conducted by Mr. Dilip Shah, Dean of Student Affairs, The Bhawanipur College. This was held from 09 – 11 April 2018.

A Seminar on VAASTU and its Incorporation in Interior Design, was held on 5th April. The Seminar was conducted by Mr. Surendra Kapoor, an eminent Vaastu practitioner. Students from Interior Design Two and One year courses attended the Seminar with great enthusiasm. The presentation was followed by an interactive session where the students came forward

Students of Interior Design One year and Two years went on a field visit to Le Studio – NITCO Orientation Centre at Anandapur, Ruby. They were exposed to a wide variety of Tiles of various grades. The students were also shown a Presentation on the Manufacturing process and about the Automated Unit of NITCO at

Students of Interior Design, from Two and One year courses visited the Jaguar Orientation Center at Chowringhee, Kolkata on 27 March 2018. They were divided into two groups and were shown Sanitaryware, Sanitary Fittings, Jacuzzi etc, and explained the working of each in detail.  

The BDA won the first position in the Fashion Show organised by the Army Institute of Management. The theme for the Show was Abhivyakt… to express.

Students from various batches of Fashion and Interior Design participated in VERVE, a college Festival organised by JD Birla Institute, on 17th March 2018.                   They entered in various events such as Best out of Waste, Jewellery from Scrap, Cooking and Fashion Show . The Team won

Students of the Bhawanipur Design Academy participated at Spectrum, the fest at NIFT Kolkata. The students returned with the first position, making us proud.

Students from Fashion Design Two Years and One Year were taken for an Industry Visit to The Rajlakshmi Cottton Mills at Jalan Industrial Complex, Dhulagarh, Howrah, on 7th March 2017.
