- Convocation 2026Convocation’26 ceremony was organised for the graduating students of Fashion and Interior design batches (2023-25) and (2024-25), who have successfully completed the respective courses, was held at The BDA campus on the 31st January 2026. - Visit to Rajlaxmi Textile MillsThe Fashion Design students visited the Rajlaxmi Textile Mills on the 28th January ’26. Twenty two Students of Fashion Design 2yr sem III (2024-26), Fashion Design 1 yr sem I (2025-26) and 2 faculty members had gone for the industry visit. - Visit to JAQUAR WORLDThe visit for Interior Design Students to JAQUAR WORLD (display center) was conducted on 21-1-2026 & 22-1-2026. Total number of students that participated in the visit was 44 of Interior Design 2 year sem 3 (2024-26) and Interior Design 1 year sem 1 (2025-26) batches respectively. They were accompanied by two faculty members.
- Best Students Award 2026 by ABID InteriorsTwo best students for the year 2025-26 Shivam Patel (2023-25) and Faiza Siddiqui (2024-25) were given the Best Students Award from The Bhawanipur Design Academy by ABID Interiors 2026. Ankita Adhikary of Interior Design 2 year sem 1 (fundamental), was one of the special mentions in the “Micro-Workspace” Design Competition at the ABID Interiors 2026. Memento and certificate was given.
- Annual Graduating Show 2025The Annual Graduating Fashion Show took place on 25 December 2025. Students of Fashion design 2023-25 and 2024-25 batches exhibited their designs through the show. The designs were showcased through a total of 7 sequences. - Visit to The Wood Studio55 students of the Interior design department (batch 2024-2026) & (batch 2025-26) along with 3 faculty members visited The Wood Studio on 10th, 11th and 12th December 2025. The Wood Studio offers a wide range of architectural wood products, specializing in custom-cut products, particularly Live Edge Furniture and other wooden furniture for high-end residential, commercial, institutional, and resort application. - Visit to Evara55 students of ID 2Yr (2024-26) sem III & ID 1Yr (2025-26) sem I and 1 faculty member visited Evara showroom on 9 December 2025. Evara is a showroom for decorative plywood, laminates and veneer. The students had the opportunity to see and understand about the latest interior finishing products, its application and pricing.
- Visit to Residence Site for MeasurementsOn 8th December 2025, 25 students of the interior design department (batch 2025-2026) and one faculty member went for the residence site measurement of a 3BHK apartment at Ballygunge, Kolkata for their semester design project. The students took detailed measurements of the site along with site images.
- Freshers’ and Farewell Party 2025The Freshers’ and Farewell Party was organised on 19th September 2025. A total of 100 students along with 9 members of faculties were present for the event. The senior students participated actively in the decoration and event arrangements. Mr. & Ms. Fresher 2025 were chosen through a number of competitions. - Orientation for Session 2025-26The Orientation session was held on 27 August 2025. The programme began with Barnana ma’am welcoming the students to the department, followed by a short introduction of the department by Mr. Sumit Bose (HOD Interior Design). - Interior Design Carpentry WorkshopA two days Carpentry Workshop was organized for the senior Interior Design students (batch 2023 – 2025) & (batch 2024 – 2025) at the BDA campus, on 17 & 18 July 2025. The students experienced the different stages involved in the construction of a cabinet with a drawer. The students enjoyed the hands-on experience.
