  • Online Class Projects
    Presented are some of the work done by students in the course of projects undertaken through online classes during the lockdown period.   • Students’ Excursion
    The BDA organised an excursion for students of all batches of Interior and Fashion Design. 39 students, accompanied by 4 faculty members, visited Bhubaneswar and Vishakhapatnam from 13th to 19th March 2020.In Bhubaneswar, the students saw and studied the architecture of the Konark Temple, Raja Rani Temple and Lingraj Temple.   • Summer Vacation 2020
    The Bhawanipur Design Academy will be closed from 17th May to 7th June, both days inclusive, for Summer Vacation. No classes will be held during this period.
  • Mid year Juries 2020
    Juries for All Batches of Fashion & Interior Design were held between 27 February and 6 March 2020.   • Winners at ABID Exhibition – Interior Design
    Students of Interior Design One Year and Two Years participated at the exhibition organised by ABID (Architects, Builders, Interior Designers) held at Science City from 18 to 21 January 2020. They designed two models under two categories – Residential and Commercial.   • Residential Site Visit – Interior Design

  • Field Visit to Indian Museum – Design Fundamentals
    Fashion and Interior Design Fundamental students were taken for a visit to the Indian Museum on 15 January 2020. thirty-nine students accompanied by two faculty members visited the various sections of the Museum.   • Convocation 2020
    The Convocation of The Bhawanipur Design Academy was held in 10th January 2020 for the Fashion & Interior Design students of the batch 2017-2019 and 2018-2019.   • BDA Annual Graduating Fashion Show
    The annual Graduation Fashion Show for Fashion Design Two years (Batch 2017 – 19) and Fashion Design One year (Batch 2018-19) was held on 26th December 2019.   • Spardha – Fest at Shyama Prasad College
    BDA students participated at various events at SPARDHA 2019 at Shyama Prasad College on 26.11.2019 & 27.11.2019 .   • Residential Interiors Site Visit
    One Year Interior Design students were taken for a field visit to a residential project, as part of their curriculum, on 21 November 2019.   • Winner at Fashionista 2019 Fashion Show
    The team from BDA has taken the first place at the Fashion Show at Fashionista 2019.  The theme for the show was “Dark” and our team showcased the effects of substance abuse at Page 3 parties.   • Deepti – Beauty Pageant by Ei Samay, Times of India
    Ei Samay, of the Times of India group organised a Beauty Pageant Deepti for students from various colleges in Kolkata. From the total number of applicants, 100 girls were shortlisted, from which 20 finalists were selected.   • Teachers’ Day celebrations at BDA
    All Fashion and Interior Design students celebrated Teachers Day 2019 with great fervour. The students got together to decorate the department and organised games for the Faculty members.
